REPORT 019 :: MIA // VOICE
[SPARTAN-023 is concerned about these leaves. She makes a few filter tests to check on friends of hers, an easy way to make a roll call: Adell, the rest of the Rogues, Valvalis, Kirimi, Nel, Lina, Jordan, Litchi--
Lina's filter breaks.

Daisy hesitates for a few seconds. After a minute, she grabs her journal.]
[VOICE]
Lina Inverse has gone home.
[Spoken unemotionally. Bad news she has been too used to deliver.
It doesn't hurt the Spartan as much. She is back where she should be. Even if she would probably forget about her. About this place.
It still feels as if she has lost a person under her care.]

I think there'd be a rather large fuss if I were gone. Nel, Kirimi... my father. I think a few would even celebrate that I was gone...

I wouldn't. [The only reason she wouldn't mourn is Spartan nature. They honor lost loved ones with actions.] But can't blame me for checking.

[So would Val. But Daisy is afraid of telling her that it's exactly the same for her. That she will have literally nothing to return to.]
Some have things waiting for them home. Sometimes I wish it made things easier for all of us.

If we got rid of the Malnosso and the Third Party, I think I'd stay in here, as well.

Or get into another world and time. I'd love a chance to visit the people of this place. [Like Lina. Like Marica. Like the rest of her friends.] That, and I'd go nuts if there weren't enemies to fight.

Mmmm... I'd probably go see Kirimi's world myself, and say hello to her brother again... If he remembers me. Then likely live in Nel's world.
As I understand there is a lot of fighting there, though, perhaps not with guns.

[The fact she felt depressed when she wasn't chosen for the draft of February, and still tried to help from behind the lines, speaks a lot about what they changed of her.
Not to mention that she would return to her world if she could get to keep her life and her memories. Even when she knows the suffering she would return to.]
There's also worlds where barriers can be broken.
[Probably hers. Slipspace breaks barriers between light-years. Could it break it between worlds?]

Maybe. Maybe yours. [She doesn't know what kind of world Valvalis may get back to. But if she doesn't have anything worth return to, either...] With the things I keep seeing in this place, I'm not going to lie, I'm curious.
