REPORT 019 :: MIA // VOICE
[SPARTAN-023 is concerned about these leaves. She makes a few filter tests to check on friends of hers, an easy way to make a roll call: Adell, the rest of the Rogues, Valvalis, Kirimi, Nel, Lina, Jordan, Litchi--
Lina's filter breaks.
...
Daisy hesitates for a few seconds. After a minute, she grabs her journal.]
[VOICE]
Lina Inverse has gone home.
[Spoken unemotionally. Bad news she has been too used to deliver.
It doesn't hurt the Spartan as much. She is back where she should be. Even if she would probably forget about her. About this place.
It still feels as if she has lost a person under her care.]

[VOICE]
Lina Inverse has gone home.
[Spoken unemotionally. Bad news she has been too used to deliver.
It doesn't hurt the Spartan as much. She is back where she should be. Even if she would probably forget about her. About this place.
It still feels as if she has lost a person under her care.]

[Her voice remains neutral. It is her way to instill confidence in soldiers. But not all here are fighters.]
Want me to come over?

S-sorry...

Can... we meet somewhere?

[She whispers lightly. Her voice is shot - weak from crying. Still, the solemn thankfulness in her tone is there. She wants to tell her how thankful she is for Daisy to be there, but right now, she just doesn't have the voice.]

[Daisy wouldn't be nearly as fast as Keimi would be through the water, but nonetheless, she goes with some speed. She didn't know how fast Keimi would move in this state... But the Chief would not leave her waiting.
Out of armor, she sits by the bridge. Waiting for Keimi. Hands locked onto one another.]

... [When she gets close enough to her, Keimi leaps from her chair, wrapping her arms tight around Daisy, burying her face into whatever part of her body she can reach.]

Daisy slowly kneels and puts a hand over Keimi's green hair, letting her cry on her chest. Hoping that her height would provide Keimi a strange form of comfort. She stays in silence for a long time, letting the small mermaid cry as much as she needs.]

Daisy-chin... th-thank you.

[It's not her first time comforting friends. Daisy remembers Ralph. Her hold strengthens, as well.]
They are alright. It's alright.
[She leans a little to let Keimi rest her weight on her. She was worn down in a lot of ways. She needed some respite.]

Her fingers caress Keimi's hair. Body language she remembers from Valvalis, to try to calm a loved one.]
no subject
Don't leave me, Daisy-chin. O-okay?
no subject
Which is why Daisy hesitates. She cannot promise Keimi that. She can be taken at any time, and once it happens... Her life will end.
She lifts Keimi a little, and lets her head rest on the mermaid, saying nothing. She hopes that the gesture alone could be an answer. Because it is something she doesn't know what to answer to.]

She lays down on the grass, closing her wings, still attached to Keimi. Serving as a pillow to the mermaid.]
no subject
Daisy-chin?
[She blushes through her tears at the ordeal. Despite how upset she was, she found herself strangely comfortable in this position.]
no subject
[Having been raised in a military environment, some gestures are still unknown to the Spartan. Why is Keimi blushing? Did it mean something else in civilian language?]
no subject
[Her voice is small, almost inaudible. She sniffles lightly, wiping her eyes with her forearm.]
no subject
She heard what Keimi said. Which is why her body stays still for the smaller girl.]
