This is SPARTAN-023.

I am reporting that in January 30th of the Sixth Cycle of Luceti, Captain Adell of the Blue Rogues has returned to his world to continue his duties.

Because of it, by his orders established in the case he left, I have been assigned to command the unit until it's original founder, Captain Vyse, returns to Luceti and officially retakes his position as leader of the Blue Rogues.

Additionally, he has asked for someone to keep the Hakurei Shrine in his absence, a project me and the Captain built for mutual friends of ours. Faith is of no matter.

[She stops, not sure with what to sign this with. By the UNSC, she was still a Chief Petty Officer, and only if someone on the UNSC chose to do so she would be promoted.

Strangely, now it's the time when she wonders if rank matters at all in here.]

VILLAGE

[After leaving the message, she remains in her room staring at the note addressed not only to her, but the note addressed to Reimu along with the bottles of Gensokyo and RosenQueen sake Adell trusted her with if he ever left. His final order was basic, and a Spartan, it was curious how much did it make her think. She spends a long time staring at the note he left for her.

"Live. For yourself, for the people you love, and for a better world. Just live."

After several minutes, she grabs the bottles and the notes, and locks them in the same place she kept the more important possessions. She sets the picture of Adell with his old family in House 44 beside Daisy's own. Beside Valvalis, Neliel, Kirimi, and Keimi.

This time, she doesn't overdo her exercises and meditations. She dresses in the same winter garbs she wore a year ago, and wanders around the Restaurant, the Tea shop, the Item shop and even the Hot Springs.

If you're a friend of hers? chances are you will receive a message requesting for some time together.

Before the day is over, she returns to her Garden over the roof of the Fifth Community Housing to continue her personal project. Winter will end soon, and spring will allow even more flowers to bloom in the aftermath of the harsh environment. There were so many kinds she wanted to plant.

As she called for the help of Faeren and Sona when taking care of the flowers, she couldn't wait until it was the time to plant orchids.]

[She wheels herself in, doing her best to give a confident smile.]

[Daisy holds her hand as soon as Keimi is near. The taller girl puts her forehead over her friend.]

It's alright. I need a little company, too.

[She coos, reaching out and taking the taller girl's other hand. It wasn't often that Daisy was the one needing reassurance. She leans in, planting a kiss on her nose, her forehead never leaving the other's touch.]

[Daisy lifts Keimi to hold her tightly, in an unspartan gesture as her expression breaks for an instant. She still doesn't cry. At this point she is adapting too easily to loss. But not enough.

Don't ever leave.

She knows she can't make Keimi swear that. Daisy herself doesn't know if she will even remain here for the two of them.

For once, Daisy resembles a frightened small girl instead of the attack dog they wanted her to be.]

[Her fingers gently rub the across Daisy's knuckles. Her grip is firm, but warm. She'll stay here forever, if that's what would make her lover happy.]

I'm right here, Darling-chin. I'm not going anywhere. I promise.

[She doesn't smile when she hears the promise. Luceti was infamous for that -- they all only remained for five years, at most.

But for this day, they wouldn't go anywhere.]

Please don't.

[Daisy says softly. Her fingers run through Keimi's hair.]

I'm getting tired of losing loved ones.

[Of losing the things she knows.]

...I'll always be with you.

[She kisses her cheek. Luceti works in strange and often terrible ways, but for right now, Keimi knew what she said was the truth.]

[For now she doesn't want to think about that. For today, she wanted to be with Keimi.

While it lasted.

She returns the kiss. She covers Keimi with her red jacket as she motioned her to sit with her on the sofa.]

[Keimi carefully wraps herself in Daisy's jacket, wheeling herself close to, and then moving herself onto the couch.]

[Daisy moves her hands over Keimi, and below the jacket. Around her breasts, and her hips. As she lets the mermaid rest over her, Daisy whispers to her ear.]

[She nuzzles into her lover's neck, making sure their embrace is as close as possible.]

[She slowly leans up front, side by side over the couch. She lifts her head, letting Keimi kiss. Daisy's hands wander around Keimi's lower body.

One leg caresses Keimi's tail. Her fingers try sneaking off her clothes.]

[Keimi lets out a gentle sigh as Daisy's lips caress her body. She knows how stressed and frustrated her lover is right now. The best thing to do is to let the taller girl do whatever she likes.

Of course, it certainly helps that she really enjoys it too.]

D-Darling-chin... I love you so much.

[Daisy moves Keimi, letting her rest over her bigger body. With Keimi on top of her, chests attached, she looks at her.]

Getting to meet you was one of the best things that happened to me. [One hand caresses Keimi's cheek. Another caresses her back.

[Keimi leans forward, kissing the top of Daisy's head.]

And we get to stay together, every night, and wake up together every morning. [She finishes, wanting to end that thought on a more positive note.]

[Daisy smiles. In spite of the losses, in spite of everything she could lose, she got to sleep to a beautiful sight different from the images she would see at night from Harvest, and got to wake up to something driving her towards the rest of the day rather than an alarm.]


Every night, and every morning.

[She removes her own shirt. As she kisses Keimi, her fingers try to unlock her bra.]

[Her cheeks redden, her hands moving to the jacket, holding it around her by the collar.]

Do... you think it's covering me too much? [She does her best to ask in a sensual tone, but even after more than a year in their relationship, the question still arrives shaky and nervous.]
