This is SPARTAN-023.

I am reporting that in January 30th of the Sixth Cycle of Luceti, Captain Adell of the Blue Rogues has returned to his world to continue his duties.

Because of it, by his orders established in the case he left, I have been assigned to command the unit until it's original founder, Captain Vyse, returns to Luceti and officially retakes his position as leader of the Blue Rogues.

Additionally, he has asked for someone to keep the Hakurei Shrine in his absence, a project me and the Captain built for mutual friends of ours. Faith is of no matter.

That is all.

[She stops, not sure with what to sign this with. By the UNSC, she was still a Chief Petty Officer, and only if someone on the UNSC chose to do so she would be promoted.

Strangely, now it's the time when she wonders if rank matters at all in here.]

[After leaving the message, she remains in her room staring at the note addressed not only to her, but the note addressed to Reimu along with the bottles of Gensokyo and RosenQueen sake Adell trusted her with if he ever left. His final order was basic, and a Spartan, it was curious how much did it make her think. She spends a long time staring at the note he left for her.

"Live. For yourself, for the people you love, and for a better world. Just live."

After several minutes, she grabs the bottles and the notes, and locks them in the same place she kept the more important possessions. She sets the picture of Adell with his old family in House 44 beside Daisy's own. Beside Valvalis, Neliel, Kirimi, and Keimi.

This time, she doesn't overdo her exercises and meditations. She dresses in the same winter garbs she wore a year ago, and wanders around the Restaurant, the Tea shop, the Item shop and even the Hot Springs.

If you're a friend of hers? chances are you will receive a message requesting for some time together.

Before the day is over, she returns to her Garden over the roof of the Fifth Community Housing to continue her personal project. Winter will end soon, and spring will allow even more flowers to bloom in the aftermath of the harsh environment. There were so many kinds she wanted to plant.

As she called for the help of Faeren and Sona when taking care of the flowers, she couldn't wait until it was the time to plant orchids.]

Come on.

[She undresses to reveal her swimsuit, a two-piece crafted by Keimi. Given how her past visits to the Springs would often mean misfortune to shorter friends, she slowly ventures first into the hot water. Sadly still rising it because of her weight.

She lets her chin rest above the water as her blond hair floats.]

[The moment Ami decides to take the plunge, she slips into the hot spring as quickly as possible, to minimize the time she spends actually visible in nothing but the swimsuit. The intensity of the water's sudden heat doesn't seem to bother her at all, as though she's equally at home boiling here as stepping onto an Arctic lake. The truth is, she prefers the latter.]

I didn't realize how much I needed this opportunity to relax until I was finally here doing it.

[Daisy immediately notices it. Even though she was more delicate to the changes in temperature (slowly improving thanks to the time spent out of her armor), Ami seemed unaffected. Perhaps part of her link as a senshi.]

Story of life, Ami. [She tries rising a little. And failing to hide her reddening face as she slowly enters her state of pleasure-drunk.] I didn't even get into an onsen before Luceti. I get too used to them.

[Ami's the last person to tease over a flushed face, with how easily she blushes when embarrassed. She tactfully ignores it instead, and slips a little lower into the water. She hadn't noticed before that she was carry tension in her shoulders, but she lets it be soothed away now.]

I like them myself... at least, being in the warm water.

[She looks up at Ami.]

I was going to ask you about that... You didn't even flinch when going into the water.

I get surprised by temperatures, but...

[She's not excused, Daisy thinks. Only recently had she gotten used to be out of armor.]

I guess... it's just because I like it. So I don't mind the shock. [Oops. Well, it's not as if that isn't a plausible explanation. It's not even like people in Luceti, some of them, don't already know a little more than that.]

[Sadly it isn't.]

I mean...

[She moves around the water, senses hampered and reddened cheeks.]

We are prepared to go into water of any temperature. [She blinks.] But even our bodies take a second to adapt...

[Right. Ami is a soldier.]

If I may ask... is it because of you being a soldier?

[Senshi.]

['Some of them' like Daisy.]

That might be the case. If it's water, I don't mind it at all. The temperature doesn't bother me.

[She nods, letting herself back into the water. As only her hair floats above the surface, she reddens.]

Then again, I didn't think I'd like this so much.

[Ami takes the flush for the heat of the water. She can feel it herself, though it shows little affect.]

Did you not go to hot springs back home?

[She turns to the question, once again not knowing what to answer. Every Spartan used to be too long inside of his armor to ever feel the pleasure of a hot springs, and too long under war.

... Instead, she simply shakes her head.]

[Ami decides not to pry; but she's open-eared if Daisy says more. She settles for neutrality herself.]
