REPORT 028 :: LIFE // VOICE | ACTION
This is SPARTAN-023.
I am reporting that in January 30th of the Sixth Cycle of Luceti, Captain Adell of the Blue Rogues has returned to his world to continue his duties.
[...]
Because of it, by his orders established in the case he left, I have been assigned to command the unit until it's original founder, Captain Vyse, returns to Luceti and officially retakes his position as leader of the Blue Rogues.
Additionally, he has asked for someone to keep the Hakurei Shrine in his absence, a project me and the Captain built for mutual friends of ours. Faith is of no matter.
That is all.
[She stops, not sure with what to sign this with. By the UNSC, she was still a Chief Petty Officer, and only if someone on the UNSC chose to do so she would be promoted.
Strangely, now it's the time when she wonders if rank matters at all in here.]
Daisy SPARTAN-023
VILLAGE
[After leaving the message, she remains in her room staring at the note addressed not only to her, but the note addressed to Reimu along with the bottles of Gensokyo and RosenQueen sake Adell trusted her with if he ever left. His final order was basic, and a Spartan, it was curious how much did it make her think. She spends a long time staring at the note he left for her.
"Live. For yourself, for the people you love, and for a better world. Just live."
After several minutes, she grabs the bottles and the notes, and locks them in the same place she kept the more important possessions. She sets the picture of Adell with his old family in House 44 beside Daisy's own. Beside Valvalis, Neliel, Kirimi, and Keimi.
--
This time, she doesn't overdo her exercises and meditations. She dresses in the same winter garbs she wore a year ago, and wanders around the Restaurant, the Tea shop, the Item shop and even the Hot Springs.
If you're a friend of hers? chances are you will receive a message requesting for some time together.
--
Before the day is over, she returns to her Garden over the roof of the Fifth Community Housing to continue her personal project. Winter will end soon, and spring will allow even more flowers to bloom in the aftermath of the harsh environment. There were so many kinds she wanted to plant.
As she called for the help of Faeren and Sona when taking care of the flowers, she couldn't wait until it was the time to plant orchids.]

Want to learn how to play pool?
[Action]
At least his screw-ups might be amusing.]
Please, feel free to... instruct me... [He takes the proffered hand, with exquisite gentleness.]
[Action]
This game is about pulse and calculation. It's all in how you hit the ball. Most of the times, it will all matter on hitting the center of the ball with just enough force to do whatever you need and at what distance. More often than not, there'll be things in the way for which you'll have to account for.
[She taps the ball to let it bounce over a wall - and enter a hole.]
[Action]
[Fascinated, he watches as Daisy traces a path with the ball she struck. It easily slips into the pocket she aimed for, the short arc a reminder of her dexterous wrists.]
... How shall I begin...?
[Action]
[She grabs the colorful pool balls and sets them in a numeric triangular pattern. She removes the holder, and grabs a coin.]
We toss a coin, whoever wins starts, and the first type of ball you score will be the ones you'll have to get in for you to win. The eight ball has to be the last one for both sides, and the hole in which it will be put has to be determined before you take the shot.
[She flips the coin -- closing her eyes, and immediately grabbing it with both of her palms.]
Heads or tails?
[Action] | sadly mun is not too good at pool so will have to bullshit this
... Tails...?
[He really doesn't know what the difference is.]
[Action] It's alright. I'm only good after I drink a beer. XD
You begin.
[She walks close to Robert to explain.]
The two of us will always hit the white ball. Every time a match starts or the ball is dropped, you have to hit it forward. This shot is most usually about luck.
[Action] | I don't think I ever played proper pool, actually /derp
So I... strike the white ball... should I aim, at a s-specific location? And... with these implements...? [He glances over to the pool cues - they remind him of Don's bo staff, but the weighting is different.]
[Action]
I won't lie, sir. I'm not sure what the trick is behind the first shot. Most people just shoot it to spread it, and see how many do they score.
My suggestion? Don't worry about this shot too much. Just hit it had enough for the balls to scatter and see which one do you score.
[Action]
Robert picks up one of the pool cues, balancing it clumsily on his hand. It's quite clear he has absolutely no idea how to utilize this object - he's holding it more like one might hold a weapon.
Definitely channelling Don's bo staff-itude, here.]Er... how do I... utilize these...? [He feels kind of like the world's biggest idiot at the moment.]
[Action]
The trick is finding a good position to keep your cue still. Use your right hand to focus force in it, while the left is used to keep the tip still so you hit the ball right where you need.
[Action]
Do I... push the cue forward s-suddenly, with my right hand...?
[Action]
[She makes Robert push it to hit, making the balls scatter. Two smooth balls enter.]
Nice. You get to shoot again. You get an extra shot if you score with your ball - you win by putting in all the smooth ones.
[This time, she stands back.]
[Action]
... This one isn't nearly as lucky; the ball caroms off of two other balls, sending them spinning and nearly sinking one of the striped balls, though luckily nothing actually happens afterward. Robert's face visibly falls.]
... Utilizing the cue is... not as simple as I was e-expecting...
