[She had been here before. The feeling of a body too heavy to move, and the difficult breathing of a perforated lung. The nightmares had become all too familiar to her, but the days earlier disturbed her whole being. The images of Halsey's teams of scientists returned to her.

They had taken her. They experimented on her. They used her.

The Chief Petty Officer lays helpless on the ground, with injuries that would've usually been too minor for a Spartan, as her head wearily looks for option. She spots the journal, and with whatever remained of her strength, she holds on to it, and whispers.]

This is Sierra TwentyThree. I need assistance.

[She prompty drops it, knowing it would somehow follow her. It always did. Both when she wanted, and when not. This place had softened her. It wasn't supposed to happen. None of this was. This was the cost of her complacency.]


((OOC:Daisy's injuries are minor (even by her standards), but she suffers as if she had a perforated lung.))

[Got captured. Could not fight. Had things done to her. Felt weak. Was angry at herself.]

[Forced breaths. She doesn't recognize that voice. She isn't sure whenever if to trust it in her current state... but on the other hand, she had plenty of assistance should things turn for the worse.]

Okay! Just hang on, I'll be there soon!

[He might not know her, but she knows Nami. Who he knows. So she must be a good person in his book. Luckily Luffy is a rubber man and can sling himself long distances. He also happens to be a beast when it comes to forest travel, so don't be too surprised if you soon spot him jumping from tree to tree up above while screaming. Really loudly.]

OOOOOOOOOOOOI-- [Wait what did she say her name was again? Uuuuh, oh yeah! He remembers the numbers. He forgot her name though. What kinda last name is TwentyThree anyway?] --TWENTYTHREEEEE!! Where are you!?

[And she does. When staring up at the clouds, only able to breathe with difficulty and wait for whatever help would come, she spots a person... stretching himself. Above the trees. Like a twisted modernist painting in motion.]

Symptoms are blood loss, oxygen deprivation, and hallucinations.

[SPARTAN-023 calmly mutters. She couldn't tell if the first one was real, but it was the only thing she could think about to explain the last one.]

[Oh, she knows that tone far too well.] Where are you? I'll be there to help as quick as I can.

Faye. [She whispers to herself.]

Forest. [A small pause.] West of the village.

The Major... Is he alright?

[As she starts gathering up her things for a healing trip, she can't help a small smile over that question.] David is just fine. He came home from the draft perfectly safe.

[Part of the Spartans' laconic sense of humor. It was supposed to help them in these kinds of moments.

[SPARTAN-023 does not audibly flinch upon the mention of casualties. Death had been a long friend of hers. But she would want to know about the people she looked after.

...Which, she does when she sees a burst of light in the surrounding area.]

A week. [Daisy sounds somewhat worried. When had they returned? What if the battle had lasted longer without her assisting Ami?] When did you return? Are you alright?

Charlotte. [Despite what she had ordered the Spartan, the Chief Petty Officer felt she was being rude to the princess.] Did the Captain return?

He did, safe and sound. [Her voice is more... even than overjoyed. It feels weird to be overjoyed (Even though she is!) because, you know, Patchouli died. So she's been dying down her own enthusiasm at having Adell back a wee bit]

Most people made it back fine.

That's good. [The Chief was accustomed to casualties. But the majority returning was a better outcome than what people got to see in her world.

But... she hasn't read the transmissions of others she promised to watch over.]

What about Shirou? And Rin? [And Valvalis?]
