REPORT 008 :: FIREFIGHT // ACTION
[As soon as SPARTAN-023 is allowed out of bed rest, she suits herself up in her MJOLNIR Mark IV armor, a seven-feet tall behemoth of metal and red with a golden faceplate. Once again inside of what she thought of as her second skin (Even with her white wings stuffed beneath the gel layer), she returns to the Battle Dome.
Not to rest, of course. She wanted to test the facility.
The Chief Petty Officer, upon arrival into one of the chambers, doesn't just load enemies and shoot away, but chooses to fiddle around with the options, inspecting every alternative, every selection, and every way to insert data. While her senses had been reduced while in Luceti, she was patient enough to spend nearly an hour to analyze the programs, and even discover a way to make the damage real: An option she ignored, both for the strength of Covenant weaponry, and because she cherished her armor too much to damage it in a mere training session.
After all, Shirou and Rin were gone.
Once satisfied, she sets the gravity to 1.08G -Reach's-, inputs information about her weapons, materializes a forest environment -Luceti's-, and inserts a new entry on the databases that, if her intel on the previous draft was correct, was similar in power and tactics to the foot soldiers of the Third Party Cult.
SPARTAN-023 prepares herself. From beyond the woods, abominations with hind legs, four jaws, and ornate armor, spawn with their alien weapons, sometimes even blades of energy. All of them calling out for the blood of the Spartan.
She begins.]

Re: [Action]
How many times can you do it?
[The grenade detonates distantly. The Majors that could still stand awaited for their brothers while their wounded ones perished.
The Elites, however, would favor such a tactic. They were intelligent, but vainglorious enemies. Glory-drunk monsters obsessed with the honor of a close kill. While they were smart, said devotion made them a much easier prey.]
Re: [Action]
[If she looks a bit startled, it's because she's never actually considered that before. Her power is simply... there. Always.
It's a reason the senshi's enemies have been jealous of them.
As if to prove her words, she sends another jet of water and ice at the foe.]
[Action]
She nods in approval.]
If only ammo was like that.
[She reloads, and quickly grabs blue grenades from the enemies the pair had downed.
She spots the next wave. Some of them sported white ornate armor, and either two plasma rifles, or more energy blades. Colonels.
The visor turns to the Senshi, holding a pair of blue balls with red dots and alien markings on the center.]
Do you use firearms? [Or grenades.]
Re: [Action]
[She keeps her answers clipped, brief while they focus on they fighting. She's lost certain abilities since leaving the Dark Kingdom, but that's definitely for the best. Even losing her powers completely would be, if it meant it was because there was peace.]
[Action]
Mercury's magic isn't a weak weapon, anyway. Dozens of the Covenant that try ganging up on the pair end as statues. The few that are not frozen are easily dispatched.
The Chief spots a glint of gold beyond the woods.]
Zealot beyond.
[Two Elites in white armor covering their faces appeared from the left side of the woods. Armed with blades, they quickly approach the pair.]
Re: [Action]
This one is my opponent!
Re: [Action]
SPARTAN-023 wordlessly springs into action to engage the second target, surpressing her need to protect Mercury -she proved herself in the draft, the Spartan remembered-. She jumps back while firing away until her clip empties, and tosses a blue glow below the Elite's feet.
It swiftly rolls away, but its' shields give in to the explosion of plasma. It snarls, and leaps towards the Spartan.
SPARTAN-023 unsheathes her knife, and both the monster and the armored human hold eachother's wrists.]
Re: [Action]
She can't spare her attention to help the Spartan - regrettably - but a splash sounds as her sword cuts at her own foe, determined and relentless.]
[Action]
Four jaws extend in a defiant roar against the small demon. A smaller blade materializes from its' wrist, and attempts one last charge.
SPARTAN-023 locks her armor on her joints to compensate for her reduced strength. The Senshi had easily injured the Elite she had dueled, and it drew an energy dagger for a last attempt.
She gets an idea.]
Ami!
[Leaves fall with an eerie patience, plasma rounds take seconds to even approach them, and the entire simulation both races and crawls around her. She enters into the zen-like state of Spartan time.
The armored being drops as she uses the xeno's own strength to kick and hurl it against its' companion. If the pair does this well, the wounded one would stab its' partner with its' raged attack.]
Re: [Action]
She is capable of fighting viciously when she must.]
[Action]
SPARTAN-023 disposes of the wounded Elite with her knife. In the brief moment before the last of their enemies approach, she collects her breath, loads another magazine into her rifle, and gives Mercury a nod, thanking her.]
Re: [Action]
Re: [Action]
SPARTAN-023 tosses a grenade to disperse them, firing Full Metal Jacket rounds against the incoming horde, and the strong shields of the Zealot.]
Re: [Action]
Re: [Action]
And SPARTAN-023 gets another idea.
She tosses a fragmentation grenade -not a plasma one-, towards the clumsy masses... and upon detonation, not only shrapnels of lead, but ice, fly in all directions of the horde. Whatever does not pierce their alien enemies, it remains on the ground like glass shards.
The Zealot covers itself as it rusn, but its' shields do not relent. It picks the blade of a torn comrade as it rolls to dodge the attacks of the pair.
It cuts a tree with a plasma blade, and kicks it towards the pair, to either distract or crush them. Then hurls itself against them, blades dancing.]
Re: [Action]
Re: [Action]
But she does not spot more Elites apart from the massive monster.]
This is the last one!
[The Spartan fires as the Zealot charges, until its' shields finally break. -- Just as the MA5B clicks, emptied.
The Sangheili General kicks the Demon away, and roars in defiance, challenging either of them to step and engage it. The armored human was without ammo, and the girl was too small a threat for it to fear her.
Fleeing or charging, the monster assumed that whoever did either first would fall to its' holy blades.]
Re: [Action]
[Action]
But not enough.
The Spartan hurls the knife at the monster's shoulder.
It snarls in rage as it drops its' right weapon, and throws itself relentlessly against the suit of armor, its' eyes focused on the neck to cut, its' left blade ready to sear the Demon.]
Now!
Re: [Action]
Re: [Action]
As it drops to the ground, and barely turns its' head to see who did it, it sees the Senshi of Water, a Demon that should have been an easy prey, yet had sorcery it could not comprehend.
Arrogance had always been their greatest flaw.
SPARTAN-023 slowly stands up as she hears only the wind around the illusion of a forest. Breathing heavily, she looks at the dozens of alien adversaries left around trees, and beds of flowers and fallen leaves.
Her visor turns to Mercury. She had heard you on the draft, but you have impressed her, Ami.]

[Action]
I understand. [Some people just didn't like fighting.] But you wouldn't be a bad partner. In battle or otherwise.
