REPORT 020 :: PRINCESS // VIDEO
[The feed reveals... Hair. A lot of it. There seems to be an apartment beneath it, too. A certain Daisy is the source, with the most exasperated expression ever.]
I need assistance.
[Once the feed shuts down, Daisy wonders how easy would it be to find her combat knife and some scissors.]

Upon hearing the tapped glass... She stays still with a blush.]
... Hi, Val.
[She struggles to move along the masses of blond hair in her apartment -More like the masses of blond hair with an apartment hidden beneath it-. All to open a window.
So much hair and not a single bladed object in sight.]
no subject
I wasn't going to let this be nothing but ]]a bad experience for you, dear sister.~
[[Do you feel the aura of love and happiness here? DO YOU FEEL IT?!
no subject
She doesn't stop the elemental from brushing it once her brain cells finally process it.]
Val, I'm not going to fit it all inside my helmet.
[She is not Cal.]
no subject
[[It'd not apparent that Val is afflicted herself or not, but isn't this behaviour to be expected.]]
I'm sure its hard to get around, but perhaps you can use a little or your training to lighten the load, hmm?
[[After all, Val carries her hair on the wind almost constantly! ]]
no subject
[Not that it stops a few Spartans from using their privileges when it concerns military regulations.]
And it's the reason I'm trapped here. I don't think I'll keep it for long.
[Provided there is something that could cut it, that is. And if Val even lets that hair be cut.]
no subject
[[Val will stay until the event is over to prevent and hair cutting accidents! She will make sure you enjoy this.]]
Trapped here like a girl in a tower, hmm? Don't worry, unlike the stories, I'll take good care of you. Someone has to teach you how to handle all of this while you've got it!
no subject
[The wind magic. It's how Valvalis moves herself around.]
Thank you... I think. [To be frank, the Dame Gothel in the original tale was as well-intentioned.] I've only tried using wind magic to soften my falls... Not to float hair.
[In the time she first met Valvalis, Daisy imagined herself levitating on the battlefield, with the powers of the elemental as well as her meters of long hair tearing alien adversaries apart.
...
This is a bit different from what she had in mind.]
... You can teach that?
[At least it would help. Somewhat.]
no subject
[[Daisy having dreams about having long, destructive hair? Do tell! ]]
First is getting used to the weight. But you're a string woman so I'm sure that wasn't an issue. Though, I think your scurrying around has tangled it quite a bit. It's certainly nothing like mine. So just be a good girl and let me brush it out.[[Even if it takes hours.]]
no subject
... Yes, Val. [She looks... It was going to be a lot of hair to brush. She wonders how much of the suggestion is actually Val wanting to straighten it before practice and how much just playing with Daisy.
So when Val continues to brush, she stays still like a good girl. She holds that much power over Daisy.]
It's still a lot of weight to take care of. [Even for her.] I thought you didn't have problems when you already controlled the winds...
[Looking at the end of one of the locks of hair, Daisy wonders if she should try small. She shifts a little -with trying not to trouble Val as she worked-, and with the gifts of Kipinn and Valvalis, she attempts to uncurl that load of hair.
With either no success or too much success.]
no subject
I'm certain it is. It looks to be far longer than the Rapunzel we have here. Though, she won't let me touch hers. Understandable I suppose. She and I aren't close like the two of us. [[She sneaks in a little peck on Daisy's cheek. It's not so much flirty as it is just a sign of how close they've become over all this time.]]
Trying already. Well, don't start from the bottom. Start from up here. [[She brushes her fingers over the soldier's bangs first.]] Then work your way down. [[Much like she is with the brush, though she is starting to get a bit away, brushed out more than her height in hair.]]
no subject
I used to have stricter standards.
[But Valvalis right. No outsider has ever pecked or kissed a Spartan before. It is indeed a sign of how close they have become.
Starting from her bangs would be easier, too. That's probably how Val keeps it floating in the first place. Daisy looks at the rest of the hair her apartment was sunken in, then at the sections the elemental had finished brushing, and closes her eyes. She begins her attempt.
Four fingers rise a little wind behind her head... About an inch, for seven seconds, before falling in a shockwave of golden hair. Daisy turns a little, hoping she wouldn't make Val's job harder... or more enjoyable.]
I was more used to short and strong bursts of air.

no subject
[Cal currently has it, but even she would insist Daisy to cut her hair at this point.
Secretly, however, Daisy wants to leave her hair a little longer.]
I use little force when holding up the winds. Things I practice for firearm accuracy. Never a constant, strong wind.
[She closes her eyes, and tries again. This time, the hair lifts five more inches, though it lasts four seconds before the hair drops in another wave. Daisy looks back.]
How long it took you to master that?
[At this point, Daisy is considering helping Valvalis brush the hair so she can be free. And practice this.]
no subject
I don't remember really. It all came naturally when I was created. It's only here that I'm... "weak" [[Spoken heavily with quotations. She's far from it, and this only suggests she's far more powerful without the town's restrictions.
But, Val is enjoying herself, and still making quick work. It's not her fault you suddenly sprouted some 70 feet of hair!]]
no subject
... She's shy. But I think you'd like her.
[It seems Mendez allowed Spartans to break a few of their prohibitions once they graduated. A privilege Cal abused.
Daisy doesn't fail to notice the quotations in her voice. She has seen the elemental's power first-hand.]
So your power is constant... [She lowers her head to think. As the elemental happily continues brushing. She closes her eyes in another attempt. She tries a few bursts of wind below her hair, that she sends them in waves to keep her golden hair floating.
...In a way, it resembles a cape of gold, even as it falls back to the floor.]
Is there a method you use to lift your hair?
no subject
You know, somewhere comfortable. [[She brushes away, and chuckles a bit when she finds that she's ended up brushing some of her own hair along with the newly-designated Princess Daisy.]]
I think I just might, mostly in that she's a colleague of yours. I'll do my best to be gentle with her, should she ever arrive~
no subject
Be careful. They could get tangled up.
[... It would be even more problematic if that happened, though.]
If she ever got here... Please be. It would take her a while to open up.
[When a Spartan considers another too shy to even talk, she has issues.]
As for the hair... It's almost the same method I used, isn't it? I send the wind in waves, and I let it go.
[This time, her state of mindless zen is deeper, as she channels wind magic. Her hands pace themselves as they send wave, after wave, after wave of hair to make it float. It looks almost as if Daisy was underwater.
For it, though, her state of meditation is deep. Concentrating her whole mental energy in levitating her hair.
You know, the perfect time to troll her.]
no subject
More like weeks, but still!
Val is more proud than in the mood to troll. All of Daisy's hair's been lifted, rather successfully. Big sis takes the moment to arrange it with her own wind; it's not like Daisy could sense it either, considering. Val gives the wind a nice swirl to it, effectively coiling the girl's hair around the room, spiraling outward until the ends.
Of course, this makes the Elemental jealous.
Commence trolling protocol: 8008. Val slips under the floating hair and leans over just right, setting her bosom atop the Spartan's head.]]
1/3
She does feel a pair of big bumps over her head, though.
Daisy slowly opens her eyes. She sees nothing in front. She turns to her right. A flat tummy and a bellybutton too close to her. She wonders why would Val be so close, but she raises her head and-- ]
2/3
3/3
Val! I-- Why!?
[You did a fine job, Val. Words are lost to Daisy.
She does find a use to all of this hair, though. It makes for a pretty good hiding place while elementals trolled her.]
no subject
[[Of course, this turns into a hug, hair in the face or not. Afterward, she kneels over and gets eye level with the girl.]] It really does suit you, even if excessive. Maybe something a little closer to here?
[[She gives a gentle swat at her lower thigh. Not quite the knee, but not the hips either. Her hands gently part Daisy's hair over her face, letting her have a look at the spiral of hair surrounding her on the floor. At least, despite the 70, 100 or whatever length of hair that's she's been granted, it looks manageable enough to get around her abode.]]
Well, at least it's no longer a mess at the moment. You can see the floor againā„
no subject
After the hug, she peeks out of her golden hideout. She looks at the masses of golden hair. At least it's in order now.]
Thanks. I think.
[Something Val was too gleeful to help and troll with.]
I've been told that. I'm not keeping it, but...
[... Okay, the fact she is considering it is the sign that she has spent too much time with Valvalis.]
I've thought about keeping it a little long. Just enough for it to fit my helmet.
I'd have more problems with it than you would.
[She is a Spartan that is mastering the element of air; alas, not a wind elemental with bulletproof hair.]
no subject
Well, I won't expect you to get used to this! It's lively but, I don't even know how Rapunzel manages it. I do hope to learn myself, one day.
But, that's why I'm suggesting it here. [[She lays both hands where she indicated before.]]. Long enough to be elegant, but still a challenge without being too extreme. For you at least.
Surely there's a few things we can learn to help tame it a little. Braiding, is it? There's that! I'm certain we can both get help on this.
no subject
I don't know if this will stay once the experiment is over. [She wishes it won't, though.] But I could give it a try. As long as I can get it inside the helmet, I don't have many reasons to keep it short, to be honest with you.
[Military short hair exists to both protect the combatant from hair-pulls, and to create a sense of uniformity. The first is moot since she normally fights inside a 1000lb suit of armor, and the second is laughable when you're in Luceti.
She shifts a bit, still noting the weight of the curtain of golden hair she is covered with.]
Wouldn't the braid remain heavy... And harder to get inside the helmet?
